History:2nd December 1848. Messrs. Wigram's new ship 'Devonshire', Captain Consitt, had arrived at the Cape, bring, amongst other passengers, Mr. Barnfather, the civil engineer for the colony.
16th January 1856. Arrived in Australia, Captain Dixon from London.
13th March 1856. Due to sail from Perth for the Cape of Good Hope and England and takes several passengers – amongst them Mr. J. Taylor, Mr. H. & G. Monger, Mr. J. Fleay, Mr. Wolley, and Mr. Davey.
1862. 29th July. Sold to Charles, Clifforf & Robert Wigram Jr.
1862. Chartered by Shaw, Savill Co.
1862. 26th October. Sailed from London for New Zealand.
1863. 7th Febuary. Arrived in Auckland N.Z.
1864. Chartered by Shaw, Savill Co.
1864. 25th June. Sailed from London for New Zealand.
11th September 1865. Arrived at the East India Dock from India with eleven persons who were sent to the Poplar Workhouse.
19th October 1865. A meeting of the Middlesex magistrates at Clerkenwell about the eleven persons to be sent back home.
1867. Disposed of.
